Levi Miller was born in Stark county, Ohio in April 1834 and when he was a boy went to Stephens county Illinois with his parents. From there they came to Allamakee county, Iowa and married Sarah Ogg in 1858. They came to Fredericksburg township in 1865, buying the farm then owned by Spencer Gillette. They have two children, Adeline and Elmer. Adeline is the wife of Rev. Oliver Beaver. Elmer married May Muir, They live in this township.
