Alma Wiebke was born in Churchtown, Iowa, September 26, 1896 to Herman and Freida Welper. The Welpers emigrated from Hanover, Germany.
Alma grew up in Eitzen, Minnesota with 3 brothers and 4 sisters. She attended grade school in Wheatland, Minnesota.

Alma worked as a waitress in New Albin, Iowa.
She was married October 16, 1918 to LeRoy Wiebke in Winona, Minnesota. LeRoy and Alma raised a family of 6 daughters and 1 son. They were married 27 years when LeRoy died on June 4, 1945 at the age of 49.

Alma has 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Alma is a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, Homemakers Group, and Senior Citizens. Her hobbies included traveling, crocheting, bingo and gardening. Activities she enjoys at the Nursing Home are pancake breakfast, picnics and especially the church ladies' visits.
