JOHN S. LARSON DIES AT HIS HOME SOUTH OF GRANT
John S. Larson, 63, farmer living three miles south of Grant, died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at his home. He had been in ill health for the last three years and seriously ill for the last six weeks preceding his death.
His body was brought Tuesday evening to the Wolfe & Gourley funeral parlors here to await funeral arrangements. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m Thursday at the Larson home south of Grant, with Rev. Frank Moore, pastor of the Grant Methodist Church in charge. Brother and nephews of the deceased served as pall bearers. Burial was made in the Strand Cemetery.
Mr. Larson was born July 9, 1871 in Benton County, Iowa, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole S. Larson. He moved with is parent so Adams County when a boy and grew to manhood there in the Strand vicinity.
On March 7, 1894, he was united in marriage to Ana M. Moore of Grant. They established their home in th eGrant vicinity and resided there all of their married life.
Mr. Larson is survived by his wife and by four brothers and eight sisters, of whom, tow brother, Oscar and Lous Larson and one sister, Mrs. Gus Swanson are residents of this vicinity. One brother preceded him in death.
The deceased was affiliated with the Modern Woodmen of the World fraternal order.
