HELEN E. E. BEEMER

Helen E. Bauer, the daughter of Carl H. and Lena Wallbridge Bauer, was born in Corning, Iowa, November 15, 1909 and passed away in Sterling, Colorado, April 3, 1979. She lived at 425 Oak St., in Sterling.

She received her schooling in Corning and after graduation from high school went to work at the county treasurer’s office in Corning.

She was married to Jay E. Beemer, Dec. 12, 1934 in Missouri and the couple later moved to Shenandoah, Iowa, then to Lincoln, Ne. for two years and then to Sterling, Colo. in April 1939.

Mrs. Beemer worked at the Logan County Hospital for several years before going to work in the Logan County Treasurer’s office for four years, retiring in 1975.

She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, past Worthy Priestess of the White Shrine of Jerusalem and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 20, Sterling.

Survivors include her husband, Jay. E. Beemer of Sterling; a son James D. Beemer of Greeley, Colo.; her mother, Mrs. Lena Bauer of Sterling, Colo. and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Chaney-Walters Funeral Home in Sterling April 6 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Donald B. App officiating. Interment was in the Riverside Cemetery. Sterling, Colorado.
