Olin Adelbert Tucker was born September 18, 1884 in Brooks, Iowa. He died on Thursday morning at 8:30, January 8, 1903, being thus 18 years, 3 months, and 23 days of age. He resided all his life in his native village and vicinity, with the exception of a few months spent in the west in search of health. The attended the school of Brooks until within the last year. He united with the church and was baptized in the Christian faith, November 20, 1902. He has now joined the ranks of the church triumphant. Olin was a good boy. He was a great sufferer, but was brave and cheerful through it all. His faith in God and Christ was very beautiful and very firm. He literally rejoiced in the midst of pain. He longed for death and welcomed it, not so much as a relief from pain, as the entrance upon a larger, happier life. Verily blessed are the dead that die in the Lord.
