Mrs. J. M. Keesler passed from this life at her home in Corning, Friday, November 29, 1918 at 3:30 o'clock. Fueral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Washington Township Sunday, conducted by Rev. Richmond A. Smith, the pastor. The body was laid to rest in the cemetery near the church.
Mary Ellen Richey was born November 4, 1844 in Mahoring County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Richey. On the 11th of April 1867, she was united in marriage to John Martin Keesler. To this union were born four children, Charles Keesler and Sam Keesler of Adams County, Iowa; Perry Keesler of Mizpah, Montanan, and the daughter Mrs. Jennie Daggett, who resides at her parental home. Mrs. Keesler received the sacrament of baptism in infancy. She was a good friend and a kind neighbor. The relatives have the sympathy of many friends and acquaintances in their sorrow.
