Word came that Mr. Howard Simpson of Riverside, California had passed away. Mr. Simpson was a storekeeper in Nodaway for many years and a friend of many of our older residents

Howard Moses Simpson, son of Moses Garrison Simpson and Florence Hall was born January 23, 1882 in Nodaway, Iowa and died December 27, 1964 in Riverside, California, at the age of 82 years, 11 months, and 27 days.
Both Howard and his father ran a general store in Nodaway, as did his grandfather, Silas.
Survivors include his wife, the former Corinna McClelland; a son George of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a daughter Martha Frances Upson of La Mira, California; two sisters, Mrs. Winifred Brown of Des Moines, and Mrs. Elnora Warren of Fort Morgan, Colorado.
Howard left Nodaway in 1946.
Burial was in the Christwood Cemetery, Riverside Cemetery.
