Florence J. Cronwall, 79, daughter of William David Jarman and Mollie Birdie Arthur, was born October 5, 1910 at Nodaway and died June 14, 1990 at the Villisca Good Samaritan Center.
She attended school in Nodaway and Parson's College where she received her teaching certificate. She taught school at Mount Pleasant in Taylor County and at Nodaway.
On January 11, 1930, she married Leslie J. Cronwall at Fremont, Nebraska.
She attended the Presbyterian Church at Nodaway from the time she was a young child. In later years she attended the Presbyterian Church in Villisca as long as her health permitted. She was an active member of many organizations and community support groups.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Paul and Harry Jarman; and two sisters, Mary Kernen and Dorothy Geith.
She is survived by her husband, L. J. "Swede" Cronwall of Nodaway, a daughter, Marilyn J. Schultz and her husband Jim of Davenport; a two sisters, Margueritte Smith of Denver, Colorado, and Katherine Mundt of Rock Island, Illinois; three grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
Services were held June 18 at the Presbyterian Church in Villisca with the Rev. Sandra Wainwright officiating. Casket bearers were Bill Smith, Burk Kladde, Dave Kernen, Kurt Schultz, Jerry Schultz, and Mitchel Schultz.
Burial was in the Nodaway Cemetery with Sutphen Beaty Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
