Thomas LeRoy Booe, for more than 40 years resident of near Nodaway, passed from this life at his home, four miles northwest of Nodaway, following an illness from heart trouble. Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and interment will be made in the Nodaway cemetery.
Thomas LeRoy Booe was born in Fountain county, Indiana, October 26, 1844, and died April 16, 1917. Beside his wife, Mr. Booe leaves three children, Mrs George McElroy, residing near Nodaway; Mrs. J. R. Cummings, Corning, and Roy Booe, near Red
Oak. One son, W. F. Booe, preceded father in death. Mr. Booe was a, veteran of the civil war, having served in the 63d Indiana regiment. At the close of the war he came to Iowa and
settled near Nodaway, where he remained until the time of his death.
Mr. Booe was well known in this locality and had many friends here, who extend sympathy to the bereaved relatives. Mr Booe was one of the oldest and best known residents of the county, and everybody had a good word for him.
