Memorial services for Alan Clifford Boswell, age 53, was held at 10:30 a.m.
February 4, 2009 at the Lenox Presbyterian Church with Tim Maxa officiating.
Alan was born August 31, 1955 at Mercy Hospital in Corning, Adams County,
Iowa and died January 29, 2009 at Knoxville, Marian County, Iowa.
He was the son of Earl Clifford Boswell, deceased, and Wilma Brown Boswell
of Lenox.
He attended Treynor, Iowa School and was baptized and confirmed at the
Zion Congregational Church in Treynor, Iowa.
He entered the Navy in October of 1972.
Surviving are his brother, Dan Boswell of Lenox, Ia., his mother, Wilma Brown
Boswell of Lenox, Ia.; cousins, Byron (Marilyn) Brown, Prescott, Laura (Loren)
Scholl of Branson, Mo., John Beran, Lenox, David Brown, Lenox, Norvan (Linda)
Brown, Lenox, Stephen Brown, Bedford, Stanley (Jolene) Brown of Lenox, Elaine

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Boswell, uncles Austin Brown,
Delman Brown, Darrel Brown and Roscoe Brown, all of Lenox, Ia., grandparents
Elmer and Myrtle Boswell of Mt. Etna, la., grandparents, Stanley and
Mary Brown, Prescott, cousins, Carol Brown Benin of Lenox, Carene Brown
Sulliyan of San Diego, Ca., aunts deceased, Thelma Brown Brinker of Pemberville,
Ohio, and Marie Brown of Lenox.
Alan was cremated and inurnment will be in the Mt. Etna Forest Hill Cemetery
at a later date.
