Laird, Margaret Wolf-
Funeral services for Margaret Laird, 85, of Creston, formerly of Prescott,
were held Friday, July 15, 2005 at Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service in
Corning with Rev. Dr. Jeanne Groom officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion. Cemetery,
near Riverton, Iowa. Margaret died July 10, 2005 at Creston Nursing and Rehab
Center.
She was born October 17, 1919 in Fremont County, Iowa to Frank Thomas Hein
and Laura Grace Wolf. She graduated from Riverton High School in 1937. She married
Glenn Harold Laird on October 28, 1941 in Rockport, Mo.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Kline Museum, Prescott, Farm
Bureau, Rebecca, Red Oak, Red Hat Society at Creston Nursing and Rehab.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Marjorie Barnard; brother-in-law,
Ronald Barnard; granddaughter, Katie Lynn Laird.
She is survived by one son, Wayne (Jacque) Laird of Prescott; grandson, Jacob
Laird; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
