Badgett, Nora Iola Miller -
Nora lola Badgett, eldest daughter of Martin W. Miller and Laura E. Hackett Miller, was born on a farm in Adams County, Iowa, January 30, 1884. and
passed away at the Rosary hospital, Corning, Iowa, March 27, 1969, at the age of 85 years, 1 month and 27 days.
She spent her entire life in Adams County. She was married August 14, 1907 to King R. Badgett at the farm home of her parents at Corning.
This home was blessed with four sons: Rex and Roy of Corning, Max of Lenox, and Wayne of Prescott.
Early in life, she united with the Mercer Center Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, two sisters, Mary and Ethel and one brother, Milan, and her husband who passed away November 18, 1962.
She is survived by four sons, Rex, Max, Roy and Wayne and daughters-in-law, Orrie, Ruby, Darlene and Deloris, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren,
three brothers, Charles Miller of Corning, Wesley Miller of Prescott, Wilton Miller of Salem, Missouri, two sisters, Florence Kretzinger of Corning and, Bess Lacox of Harve, Montana, several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held from the Roland Funeral Home in Corning March 31 at 2:00 p. m., conducted by Rev. Donald Briley. Interment was in Walnut
Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ralph Fulk, Howard Badgett, Mart Miller, Dick Miller, Jack Kretzinger and Melvin McKay.
