Edyth Effie Foulk Sheridan
Mrs. J. M. Sheridan, a resident of this vicinity nearly all her life, died Tuesday at 10:50 p.m. at her home on East Thirst Street, her death resulting from heart trouble from which she had suffered for more than a year. Recently she spent some time in the Wise Memorial Hospital in Osceola, taking treatment for her ailment, but she made apparently no improvement. She was born on a farm southeast of Villisca, March 11, 1850 and laced but ten days of being 47 years old at the time of her death. She was married to James Marcus Sheridan on November 27, 1901 in Nodaway and to this union two daughters were born, both of whom are deceased. Mrs. Sheridan moved to Villisca with her family some ten years ago. Besides her husband and adopted daughter, Geraldine, she leaves her mother, Mrs. Jack Faulk and one sister, Mrs. Cal Jones of Nodaway. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Her funeral was held in the Methodist church, Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. George Lawton in charge of service. Interment was made at Massena, beside the children of the deceased.
