January 29, 1894, at his home in Lincoln township, John Sterns, aged 76 years died.
Funeral services were held today at Mt. Etna and interment was made in the Dunkard Cemetery.
The deceased came to Adams County with his family about twenty-five years ago. by his many noble qualities he secured and held the genuine esteem of all his acquaintances. The sorrowing wife and four devoted children, two sons, and two daughters remain to mourn his loss.
