Shuler, Olin, of Corning, Iowa, 84, passed away March 29, 2005 at Alegent Health-Mercy Hospital in Corning, Iowa; son of H. Myron Shuler and Gladys Leora Brown Shuler was born March 20, 1921, at
his parent's farm south of Corning, and graduated from Corning High School, (salutatorian).
Olin and Barbara Ann Amdor were married January 31, 1941 at Maryville, Missouri; and to this union four children were born. Olin was a 4-H leader, honored during Iowa state Fair for 25 + years of being a club leader, Taylor County Trustee, school board member, member and deacon of Fairview United Church, Taylor ASCS township committeeman, district supervisor for Federal Crop.
Olin was preceded in death by his parents: H. Myron and Gladys Shuler. Survivors include: Barbara Shuler, Corning, Iowa; Daughter: Carolyn (Gene) Edmonds, Huxley, IA; Son: Richard (Sharon) Shuler, Atlanta, GA, Daughters: Barbara D'Ann Shuler, Clear Lake, Iowa; Marilyn Shuler, Benton, Arkansas. One brother Bill (Carol) Shuler, of Corning, Iowa and seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 2nd, at Coen-Beaty-Pearson family Funeral Service, in Corning. Internment was at Prairie Rose Cemetery, Adams County Iowa. Memorials have been established in his name.
