Mrs. Edna Fravel, 88, passed away at the Baptist Hospital at Winner, South Dakota, on September 20,1966, following an illness of three years. Mrs. Fravel was born December 23, 1877, to Edward and Sarah Kennedy and grew to young womanhood with her family of seven brothers and two sisters. She was united in marriage to Arthur Fravel at Nodaway,Iowa, on October 10, 1897, and to them were born three daughters and one son. Her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Edith Hanson, and Mrs. Bertha Emo , preceded her in death. Survivors include, her son, Fred, who resides in Alaska, and daughter, Mrs. Ruth Harthaus of Winner, South Dakota, a son-in-law, Ervin Emo, three brothers, Frank, Fred and Phil Kennedy and two sisters, Mrs. Roy McClelland, Miss Nellie Kennedy, all of near Nodaway, and many other relatives and friends. Burial and graveside services were held at the Nodaway Cemetery.
