Corning people will regret to learn of the death of Rev. A. K. Myattway, formerly of this city. Rev. Mr. Myattway was the Burmese Baptist minister who married one of Rev. Joseph Bosisto's daughters in this county a number of years ago. For a long time he made Corning his home, but of late years has resided in Tabor, Iowa. The following clipping from the Tabor Beacon of last week gives particulars of his demise:
A telegram received Friday morning by Bert Bosisto conveyed the sad news of the death of his brother-in-law, Rev. A. K. Myattway of Akron, Indiana.
Rev. Myattway's death was very sudden and only his relatives here knew of his illness. with his wife and children, he had been spending a few months in Winona Lake, Indiana. His illness was not considered serious.
Rev. Myattway was about 52 years of age. He was a native of Burma, well educated and a lecturer of much ability. For several years past he has been lecturing throughout the country, and for the past year was under contract with a lyccum burean.
He was at one time pastor of the Baptist Church in Tabor, and has made this place his home ever since he took the lecture field. A few years ago he built a fine home and was preparing to take life easy. He leaves a wife and two children.
The body will be brought to Tabor for interment, probably arriving here Saturday evening. Arrangements for the funeral are not yet complete.
