Boham, Nelson Emsely -
Nelson Emsely Boham, son of Charlie and Alice Boham, was born near Carbon, Iowa, January 15, 1897, and departed this life at his home near Prescott, Iowa, April 6, 1933, at the age of 36 years, 2 months and 21 days. On September 28, 1920, he was married to Unice Sickles, and to them were born two daughters and one son.

In 1925 he and his wife united with the Methodist church at Brooks, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Lois 9, Pauline 7, and by one son,Arthur, 6, and three brothers, Dan of Kansas, Francis of Carbon, la., Perry of Knoxville, la., and one sister, Mary of Brooks Iowa.

Nelson had been enduring physical distress unknown to his friends and even to many of his loved ones, which probably led to his tragic death. Always a devoted husband, kind and good to his wife and children, he will be greatly missed, not only in the home, but in the neighborhood as well.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Brooks, la., conducted by Rev. Chas. A. Colyn, pastor of the Salem church of the Brethren, where a large number of relatives and friends and neighbors met to pay their last tribute to the deceased. Burial was made in the Baldwin cemetery.

Those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Boham of Kansas.
