Robert Dean Govig, 41, of Corning, Iowa, died Monday at Rosary Hospital after a brief illness. It was reported Mr. Govig had inhaled chemicals while working in a field and was hospitalized several weeks ago with pneumonia. He later developed a blood clot which caused his death.

Attending funeral services from Le Mars were Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Small and Mrs. William Grosenheider, Jr. Attending from Akron were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Small and family; Mr. and Mrs. Ivyl Small and family; Mr. and Mrs.Eldon Small; Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Small; Mr. and Mrs. James Small and family; Mr. and Mrs. Gayland Small and Mrs. Grace Small. Also attending services were Mr. and Mrs. Basil Blum and Jerome Blum of Lawton; Mr. and Mrs. Fay Small, Mesquite, Tex.; Mrs. Dennis Fletcher, Sioux City.

Mr. Govig was the, son of Arthur and Mabel Waage Govig and he was born September 17, 1929, in Montgomery County. He was married to Ramona Small.

Survivors are his wife; four children, Rose Marie, Roger Eugene, Richard Gayland and Rennee Sue, all at home. He also is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Darlene Cartwright, Villisca, and Mrs. Lois Petty, Elliott; three brothers, Glen, Lincoln; Lewis, Omaha and Chester, Des Moines.
