Welch, Chester Randolph -
Chester Randolph Welch, son of Denmore and Eliza Welch, was born in Adams county on December 19, 1885 and passed from this life at his home on April 7, 1959 at the age of 73 years, 3 months and 18 days. He grew to manhood in Adams county.

On October 27, 1907 he was united in marriage to Anne Maude Blair at Gravity, la. To this union was born one son, Harold. They established their home on a farm near Sharpsburg where they resided until 1916. They moved to their present home near Lenox, where he resided until the time of his death.

He was a member of the Masonic Fraternity and a Past Master of Tremont Lodge No. 343 at Lenox.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his devoted wife and loving son, a daughter-in-law, 2 grandchildren, Twila Shepherd and Gene Welch, two great-grandchildren Terri and Ricky Shepherd, two sisters,Stella Franck and Annie Basher of Nodaway, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, one sister and 2 brothers. His love for his family and his devotion to his friends will be a lasting tribute to his memory.
