April 17, 1918, Page 1William D. Bryson passed away on Saturday, April 13, 1918, at his home in Brooks, Iowa, following a several days illness from a complication of diseases.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon, April 15, 1918, at 2 o'clock at his late residence, the services in charge of pastor, Elder S.H. Coleman of the Adventist Christian Church. Interment was made in the Nodaway Cemetery.
The deceased was born at Priestgill, Avondale, Scotland, November 19, 1840, and was aged 77 years, 4 months and 24 days. He immigrated to America in May 1881, and located at Villisca, Iowa, where he lived untl 1893, when he was married to Mrs. Elizabeth Harlow White, June 22, 1893, and removed to Brooks, Iowa.
His wife survives him, also a number of other relatives and friends. For several years Mr. Bryson was the clerk of the A.C. Church in Brooks, and was strong in his belief of his chosen church. He was a good neighbor and held the respect of his circle of friends and neighbors.
