Funeral services were held from the First Methodist Church in Doland, South Dakota, on March 7, 1964, at 2 p.m. for A.C. Bowman, 76, who passed away suddenly, March 2, 1964, at the International Airport in Los Angeles,California as he was to return home. He and his wife had been visiting their daughter, Vera, and other relatives and friends the past month at Maywood, California.

Rev. Gustav Van Tassel officiated at the services and burial was in the Doland Cemetery. Music was by Janet Tarkelson, Orva Mowery and Mrs. Elmer Hiles. Pallbearers were J. Terpstra, Berwyn James, Marvin Gardner, Leo Roberdean, John Felderman, Charles Deming, Lester Wagner and Harry Rasmussen, Sr.

Mr. Bowman was born April 18, 1887 at Keokuk, Iowa, and moved to Corning, Iowa vicinity as a small boy. He was united in marriage to Hattie White on April 2, 1911.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Vera Bryson; one son, Elmer of Doland, South Dakota; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

He wad a kind, mild mannered man and his wise council will be sadly missed by all.
