M. (Merriman) Harlow and Mrs. Addie Shumaker (Shoemaker) of Hatton, Washington, were married at the residence of the groom's sister, Mrs. R. C. Booker, of this city, on the evening of October 16, 1902, at 8 o'clock, Rev. W. H. Shipman of the M.E. Church, officiating, in the presence of only a few near relatives. They will reside in Corning and the best wishes of their friends go with them.
The bride will be remembered by many of the old residents as Miss Addie Peasley of near Quincy. The bride and groom were sweethearts more than thirty years ago and were to have been married, but differences arose and they married another. In recent years each lost their life companion and the friendshnip existing nearly a third of a century ago was renewed that terminated in the happy event of the 16th.
