MARRIED

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Jensen are announcing the wedding of their daughter, Louise Marie to Garth Gerald Brown, G.M.3-c, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Brown of Corning, Iowa, on September 16, 1943 in Phoenix, Arizona at the home of the bride's parents. Amid flowers and to the strains of soft music the young couple took their vows in the presence of a few close friends and members of the family. Dr. Kendall of the Central Methodist Church officiated, using the double ring ceremony.
The bride wore a lovely two piece frock of blue crepe with black accessories and corsage of salmon pink gladiolas. She was attended by her sister, Eleanor, who wore a dress of gold colored crepe with brown accessories and a corsage of white carnations. The groom was attended by his father.
Following the ceremony, the bride's mother, assisted by Mrs. John Seaborne, entertained the guests at a three course breakfast. Mr. and Mrs. Brown are both graduates of the Corning High School. Mrs. Brown attended the Iowa State Teachers College, at Cedar Falls, Iowa, and taught three years in the rural schools of Adams County. At present she is an employee of the Western Union Telegraph Office of Phoenix. The groom has been in the navy for the last three years. At present he is home on a 30 day furlough, having been recently in action in the South Pacific. The bride and groom left immediately for Corning where they will visit friends and relatives.
