J.S.Crawford Dies From Stroke
Well Known Farmer Dies After Short Illness

Jonathan S. Crawford, who has spent nearly all his life in Jackson Township, died at his home Saturday, March 26th, at the age of 64 years. Mr. Crawford had not been well for some time, but his condition was not regarded as critical. He suffered a stroke, similar to that of his brother, Charles Crawford, 2 years ago when his brother died a few hours afterwards. He had been out doors in the morning but returned to the house and was stricken while he was sitting on the davenport.
The deceased was the son of Joseph and Rebecca Crawford. He was born in Washington County, Pennsylvania, and was brought here when a year old, and the family located on the farm in Jackson Township that has since been their home. For 3 years Mr. Crawford and his sister, Miss Addie lived in their propty on West Court Avenue and they then moved back to their farm about 4 years ago.
The Reverand Arthur Weed conducted his funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday morning, March 28th, and burial was made in the Roberts Cemetery. The Rev.Clements Rowe assisted with the services.
Mr. Crawford leaves 2 brothers, Ellis and Soloman and 2 sisters,Mrs.John Estell and Miss Addie Crawford.
