Edward L.Bohan, 96, former Grove Township farmer & Greenfield resident, passed away May 20, 2005 at Methodist Hospital, Omaha, Neb. At the time of his death he was a resident of New Cassel Retirement Center in Omaha.
Edward Leslie Bohan was born to Edward P.& Stella [Plymesser] Bohan, May 18, 1909 in Adair County.
He grew up in Adair County & attended Greenfield High School.
He wed Louise Mary Lydon. To this union 4 children were born, Dean, Beverly, Betty & Phillip.
Ed farmed until 1974 when he retired & they moved to town.
After the passing of Louise & Dean, Ed moved to Oskaloosa to be near Betty & her family. After Betty's passing he moved to Omaha to be near Phillip & his family.
Ed enjoyed playing cards & dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Louise; brothers Clarence & Wayne Bohan; sister Wanda Pinta; daughter Betty Jefferies; son Dean Bohan & daughter-in-law Dorothy Bohan.
He is survived by daughter Beverly Walling of Wheatland, Mo.; Phillip & wife Caroline Bohan of Omaha, Neb.; son-in-law Jerry Jefferies of Oskaloosa; 11 grandchildren & 17 great-grandchildren.
Ed donated his body to Creighton University in Omaha for research.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
