Marlys Ann Felt, 61 passed away Sunday May 22, 2005 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston following a long battle with Huntington's Disease.
Funeral services will be at 11a.m. Thursday, May 26 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waukee, of which she was a member, with burial to follow at Waukee Cemetery.
Visitation begins after 3p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waukee where the family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to HDSA [Huntington's Disease Society of America] or Mercy Hospice.
Marlys was born in Adair, & lived in Waukee since 1955. She was a registered nurse at Charter Community Hospital for 27 years & later retired from Karen Acres Nursing Home in Urbandale.
Marlys enjoyed fishing, boating, shopping & was an avid fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Her greatest joy was spending time with her 4 grandchildren, Abbi, Nathin, Ashley & Emily. Marlys will always be remembered for her smile, her laugh & love of life, family & friends.
She was preceded in death by her father John Tibben; mother Hazel Tibben-Mueller & step-father O.H. "Bing" Mueller.
Marlys is survived by her husband of 40 years Dennis; daughter Denise & husband Perry Kamm; son Darin & wife Missi Felt all of Waukee; sister Toni DeClercq of South Carolina; brother Dennis Tibben of Cedar Rapids & 4 grandchildren.
