Glenn Wayne Raasch
Glenn Wayne Raasch, son of Albert and Tina Wyllie Raasch was born February 24, 1925 in Massena Township, Cass County, Iowa.
He passed away at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, Iowa, Thursday, April 24, following injuries suffered when struck by a car on Tuesday, April 22, at the age of 33 years and two months.
He attended rural school in Cass County and later the Bridgewater High School where he graduated with the class of 1943.
In early life he became a member of the Bridgewater Methodist Church and had been a faithful and loyal worker there since.
He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Lolah Marie Buckner at the Avondale Methodist Church, August 17, 1946.
They established their home on a farm in Cass County but in a few months moved to the home of his parents where he went into partnership with his father, with whom he was a constant worker and companion.
One daughter Jo-Lee was born to this union.
His nieces and nephews found in Glenn a ready companion in all activies and enjoyed spending much time in his home, especially Rhonda McCall who made her home with Aunt Lolah and Uncle Glenn for two years.
Glenn has been especially active in school, his church and community and contributed much to their progress and made many friends through these activies.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann in 1934.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lolah, one daughter, Jo-Lee who was his pride and joy, his devoted parents, one brother, Lloyd, his wife Ellen, and nephew Jimmie.
His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wyllie, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends by whom he will be sadly missed.
