Obituary of Miss Bonnie Wilson

WILSON, AND FOXLEY

Miss Bonnie Blanche Wilson, daughter of John A.Wilson, a pioneer resident of this county passed away at 11 p.m. at Unity Hospital Sunday night Feb.6,1916. She had been in poor health for some time and her condition was regarded as serious since the 1st of the year.
Bonnie was born Jan.24,1892 and reared to beautiful womanhood 10 miles east of Orient.
For 3 years she was one of Adair County's most successful teachers but owing to failing health she gave up teaching and took care of the household duties for her father and 2 brothers.
Being an accomplished musician, an artist at the piano, her services will be sadly missed on many occasions, where she was ever glad to assist beyond her physical strength.
Her untimely death is a shock to the entire commuity and surrounding country in which she lived and has saddened the heart of every person who knew her. She was deeply admired for her splended traits of character and no person in the community will be missed more.
Leaving to mourn her absence a father, sister Mrs.Fern Foxley of Platte, S.Dakota and 2 brothers Earl and Carl residing at home, her mother departed this life Mar. 25,1914.
She is not dead across whose lips. Death lays the silence of his sword. Whose heart to quicker measures moved. By love's inspiring word. She fell asleep beside the path. That stretched in weariness away. And in the shadow of the rock Rests from the hapless day. Is added to the angel choir. Another hand by death released. Sweeps the celestial lyre. She is not dead whose dull, cold hand gives back no pressure to thine own. It beckons thee to fairer scenes. Than thou hast ever known.
"Dear Bonnie, her night has fallen, ours must come".
