Lois A.[Hosfelt] Green 87, passed away Aug.7,2003 at the Willits Health Care Center in Willits, Calif., where she had been a resident for the past 5 years. The body was cremated with the ashes being sent to Massena, Iowa, where a memorial ceremony will be celebrated at the Massena United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David Kruse officiating on Saturday Aug.23, at 10:30 a.m. with burial at the Massena Township Cemetery.
Eastern Star services will be conducted by the Greenfield Chapter OES.
Carolyn Groves pianist will accomany the congregational hymns "How Great Thou Art" and "In The Garden".
Lois was born Feb. 13,1916 in Cass County.
She was preceded in death by her husband Loren Green; her parents William and Alice [Melzer] Hosfelt; brothers George and Lyle Hosfelt and sister-in-law Aletha Hosfelt.
She is survived by 1 sister-in-law Velma Hosfelt who resides at the Anita Care Center in Anita; niece Joyce Westlake and husband Danny of Corning; 3 nephews Harold Hosfelt of Tx.; Gene and wife Shirley Hosfelt of Massena; Dean and wife Sally Hosfelt of Des Moines; 6 great-nieces; 5 great-nephews; 17 great-great-nieces and nephews; plus a number of cousins and other relatives and friends.
