Peter Paul Kinsinger was born near Greenfield, Adair county, Ia., January 25th, 1866 and departed this life December 20th, 1921. He was married to Gertrude Carter at Solomn, Kansas, August 10th, 1893. To this union were born three children, two having died in infancy.

There are left to mourn for the deceased, the wife, a daughter Lila Ruth, a father Henry Kinsinger and three sisters, Mrs. Mary LaRue of near Plains, Kansas, Mrs. Dora Scott of Solomn, Kansas and Mrs. Emma Boulden of Manchester, Oklahoma.

The deceased professed faith in God in 1915 and in 1917 united with the Methodist Episcopal Church of Meade, Kansas.

He was one who helped to make "The desert bloom as the rose," having moved on the homestead northwest of Meade eighteen years ago. He was the fighting spirit, and amid adversity of prosperity was ever undaunted.

His health has been poor for several years and the last six months he was confined almost constantly to bed, yet, amid suffering and care cheerful optimism prevailed.

He loved little children and they all loved him. No greater tribute can be paid to any man's memory than this. On Sunday, December 11th, he helped sing some gospel songs, then resting for a few days, left us to join the host around the Great White Throne singing the songs of Moses and the Lamb.

The end was peaceful, no, not the end, but the beginning, for "He that liveth and believeth in Me shall never die", and we know that "There is a land where beauty cannot fade, Not sorrow dim the eye, Where true love shall not droop nor be dismayed, And none shall ever die." F. H. W.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church Wednesday afternoon conducted by the pastor, Rev. F. H. Wheat, and interment made in Graceland Cemetery.
