Funeral services for Edwin E.Welsh 41 were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Bickford Funeral Home in Greenfield. Mr.Welsh died Monday evening at Council Bluffs.
Father B.Kane pastor of St.John's Catholic Church in Greenfield conducted the services. Music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs P.L.Bickford with Miss Priscilla Bickford as accompanist. The selections "Beyond The Sunset", and "The Garden Of Prayer".
Those serving as casketbearers were Ralph Swanson, B.C.Robbins, Harry Eichnor, Fred Smith, J.E.Sidey and Max Porter. Burial took place in the Oakwood Cemetery at Casey, Iowa.
Edwin Eugene Welsh was born in Davenport, Iowa Aug.30,1911 son of Luke and Grace Welsh. He moved with his parents to a farm in Adair County at the age of 4 years. He attended the Casey schools and graduated with the class of 1929.
He was united in marriage to Margaret Hanley Oct. 26,1936 at the St.Joseph's Church in Casey, Iowa. To this union 1 daughter was born who with his parents survive and mourn hisuntimely passing. A Veteran of World War 2 he served 2 years in the China Buma Theater.
He was united in marriage to Marguerite Rablin May 28,1946 and since then has been employed as a meat cutter.

Burkey and Mrs. Ora Burkey of Indianola; Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Welsh and family, Mrs. Jim McKee and Mr. and Mrs. George Porter of Stuart and vicinity; from Casey were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dunbar, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Raper, Miss Sadie Raper,and Mrs. Morris Girard; Mr. and Mrs. Ves Handley, Mrs. Douglas Miller and Mrs. Ambrose Sanner all of Osceola; Mrs. Myrtle Schmidt of Laurens, Iowa; Mrs. Ernest Miller and Mrs. Dewey Dunkerson both of Creston.
