Mrs. Nelle Walker Claimed By Death

The Greenfield community was saddened Friday forenoon Sept.12,1969 when it became known that Mrs.Nelle V.Walker age 87 a native of Adair County and a long time resident of Greenfield had passed away at her home in east Greenfield after a long illness.

Mrs.Walker was the widow of Lewis J.Walker who preceded her in death June 21,1965.

Rosary was recited at the Bickford-Murray Funeral Home in Greenfield at 8 p.m. Sunday evening and family and friends paid parting respects to her memory at Requiem High Mass celebrated by Rev.Fr.E.J.Klein at St.John's Catholic Church in Greenfield at 10 a.m. Monday Sept. 15,1969.

Burial was in the family plot in the Greenfield Cemetery.

The pallbearers were Don Carey, Jim Eagan, Joe Eagan, Jim Eagan, Phillip Eagan and Edwin Lydon. Honorary bearers were Merlin Faber, Clare Johnson, Jack Maeder, Don Swenney and Robert Wilson.

Surviving Mrs. Walker are nieces, nephews and cousins.
