Hilda I. Chambers, age 90, died at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, Feb. 3, 1992. She was the mother of Mrs. Audra Skellenger of rural Greenfield.

Mrs. Chambers had lived in California and Florida, and the remainder of her life was spent in Adair County.

She was baptized in the Methodist faith, and was on the original cradle roll of the United Methodist Church in Greenfield.

She married Zene L. Chambers, and they had four children. She is survived by three children: Murell Chambers and wife Delores (Elliott) of Winterset, and Donell Skellenger and husband Audra of rural Greenfield; twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Alcey Cutting, a son Lee and three brothers, Lon, Walter, and Otho.

There was a private graveside service Wednesday afternoon Feb. 5.
