Mrs. Edna Pearl Luers, 91, of Grand River township (rural Orient) passed away at 12:30 o'clock p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 1974, at Madison Manor in Winterset. She was the widow of Frank W. Luers who preceded her in death April 10, 1956.

Edna Pearl Luers was born near Greenfield, August 17, 1883. She was the daughter of Kyer and Harriet McMullen Elliott. She spent most of her life in Adair County except for the years from 1918-1938 spent in Union County, rural Creston. She was married at Greenfield, Dec. 24, 1903 to Frank W. Luers. She was a member of Hebron Methodist Church.

Surviving her are two children, a daughter Mrs. Raymond (Mildred) Jandrey of Des Moines, a son Lyle Luers of rural Orient, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren, and a brother George W. Elliott of Greenfield. Two sons, a brother and a sister preceded her in death.
