Ed Wahlert Died At
Adair Early Sunday

John Edward Wahlert, 78, re-
tired Adair farmer, died of para-
lysis early Sunday at his home
there.

A native of Holstein, Germany,
Mr. Wahlert was born January 2,
1857, and came to the United
States in 1881, settling in Illinois.
Four years later he was married
at Rock Island, Ill., to Elizabeth
Tonner. They came shortly to a
farm in Guthrie county, living
there until retiring and moving in-
to Adair.

Surviving are the widow; two
sons, Edward and Henry, and two
daughters, Mrs. William Huss and
Miss Elsie Wahlert, all of Adair.
There are ten grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tues-
day afternoon at the Immanuel
Lutheran church with the rev.
Theodore Hoemann in charge. Bur-
ial was in the Immanuel Luther-
an cemetery, north of Adair.
