Hebron News

Died—Alverdo Andrews, the 16-month-old son of C. E. and S. B. Andrews, was born October 26, 1895, and died February 24, 1897, after three weeks’ illness of catarrhal pneumonia. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. O. E. Brown, at the M. E. church at Hebron. Our darling babe has gone to rest, in that peaceful sleep that knows no waking. We wonder in our lonely thought, why it was that he was taken; but God knows best, and he has said, “Let the little ones come unto me;” and we feel that our darling was one of those, that he spoke of so tenderly. Dear precious little babe, he has left this world of care, he has gone among the angels, to celebrate his birthday there. So sleep little darling, peacefully sleep; let not our sorrow disturb you, but be watching for us at the beautiful gate, when our sorrows here are over.
