Leila Recoy of Orient Dies.

Mrs. Ted ( Leila Eugenia ) Recoy, 66, of Orient, died this morning at the Cochran nursing home in Creston. She had lived in Orient since 1933.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Keating-Lindsay funeral home here. Rev. Ross Shinn, pastor of the Plymouth United Church of Christ at Orient, will officiate. Burial will be in the Orient cemetery.

Leila E. Johnson was born Sept 13,1908 at Stanton. She was the daughter of John and Carrie Hulen Johnson. She was married at Grant City, Mo., Nov 20,1942 to Ted Recoy.

Mrs. Recoy is survived by her husband: two daughters, Mrs Lucille Fletchall of Stanberry, Mo., and Mrs. John ( Nina ) Vaughan of Orient; two sons. Harol Recoy of Collinsville, Okla., and Levi Recoy of Creston; 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Hutton of Sioux City: and four brothers, Leon and John Johnson of Sioux City, Arthur Johnson of Omaha, Nebr., and James Hazen of Lake Manawa. She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

Rites today for Leila E.Recoy

Funeral services for Mrs. Ted ( Leila Eugenia ) recoy, 66, of Orient, were held at 1 p.m. today at the Keating-Lindsay funeral home in Creston. Rev. Ross Shinn, pastor of the Plymouth United Church of Christ at Orient officiated. Music was by Mrs. Harold Symonds, organist, who played " Beautiful Isle of Somewhere " and " The Old Rugged Cross " Casket Bearers were Jerry Goetz, Carl Oglesbee, Art Purdy, Byron Ray, Chester Weeber and John Weeber. Burial was in the Orient Cemetery.

Mrs. Recoy died at the Cochran nursing home here Wednesday morning. She Had lived in the Oreint community since 1933.
