The above information has been transcribed from History of Audubon County Iowa, Its People, Societies and Institutions, Indianapolis, Indiana: B. F. Bowen and Company, Inc., 1915, pg. 296-297.  The Ross post office was still open when this book was published in 1915.  It has since been discontinued, so Ross has been placed in the "Obsolete" section.  The exact date of discontinuation has not yet been found.
