"Mom & Dad were married here in May 1925. Mom's home was just down the road, visible from the Church. My grandfather, Ben Hartley, was a church elder for 57 years and Sunday School supt. for 55 of them. I remember that the congregation always sang hymns in 2 part harmony."

Mt. Hope historical marker ~contributed by Errin Wilker Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church was organized in 1858. Services were held in schoolhouses until this church was built in the summer of 1870.
