-Fred's notes: Some of the land that does not show a record of purchase in the Warranty Deeds Record (WD) was purchased from the government as an Original Entry in the Patent Book. I looked up the PATENTS (Original entries of land purchased from the U. S. Government) for Section 17, T99 (Lansing Township), the section of the Fridolin Troendle farmstead, and found the following:
SW1/4 of SE1/4 Casper Ebner, May 3, 1853*
SW1/4 of NE1/4 Casper Ebner, 1854*
NE1/4 of NW1/4 August Sandry, Sept 1, 1854 (40 acres for $50) (Fridolin Troendle Farm)
SW1/4 of NW1/4 Peter Hirth, Nov. 9, 1856
SE1/4 of NW1/4 Peter Hirth, August 15, 1854 (Fridolin Troendle Farm)*This date should be May 3,1855, and the date of the next transaction was August 2, 1854. Kasper Ebner did not arrive in the U.S. until June 1854 - from Beth Ebner, February 22, 2010
