In May 2005, my daughter and I visited Adair County and its cemeteries. We drove to every one except those that were on private property or otherwise inaccessible. I have been putting on photos and a small commentary for each one. We visited right before Memorial Day which was a perfect time to see them in all of their finery. The lawns were newly mowed and the peonies were in full bloom and gorgeous!

In October of 2024 Margaret Wimmer and family donated a new sign for the Liberty Cemetery. Many geneerations of Wimmers as well as others are buried at the cemetery.
