In May 2005, my daughter and I visited Adair County and its cemeteries. We drove to every one except those that were on private property or otherwise inaccessible. I will be putting on photos and a small commentary for each one. We visited right before Memorial Day which was a perfect time to see them in all of their finery. The lawns were newly mowed and the peonies were in full bloom and gorgeous! All of my direct line Adair County ancestors' final resting place is in the Greenfield cemetery except for the Handley's in Prussia Center. We spent a great deal of time here and have more photos and transcriptions to put on at a later date. |
