Last rites for Mrs. Laura M. Bolton, 86, were held at United Methodist church Aug. 30 with Dr. Jerrold Swinton officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lynn, Kevin, Brad, Barry, Scott and Jeff Phelps. Patty Niehaus was organist and Nancy Hipple was vocalist. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Conrad were in charge of flowers. King's Daughters services were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home Aug. 29.

Mrs. Bolton died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Aug. 27.

The daughter of Nelson J. and Mary Susan Trautman Domer, she was born near Tipton. The family moved to Canada where she attended school.

She was married to Milo E. Phelps at Springdale Sept. 5, 1917. Following his death she was married to Ernest Bolton at Tipton Jan. 11, 1961.

A homemaker, she spent most of her life in the Tipton area. She was a member of the United Methodist church and the Virginia Grove Circle of Kings' Daughters.

She is survived by 3 sons, Leslie Phelps, Tipton; Milo E. Phelps, Buffalo Grove, Ill. and George Phelps, Davenport; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband and a daughter.
